to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, people seems to wear mask
when they go out. As a results, masks can be seen everywhere including
ocean. (CNN)-Beaches on the French Côte d'Azur like Cannes or St. Tropez
are among the most coveted vacation spots worldwide, but now the
coronavirus pandemic has left an abundance of pollutants in the water:
discarded masks and gloves. In late February, Hong Kong-based
organization OceansAsia reported finding "masses of surgical masks
washing up on the shoreline" in the Soko Islands. According to that
statements, we can see that most of the people do not have any awareness
about COVID-19 waste such as masks and gloves. People’s awareness of
caring for environment still low. Because of this, covid waste may
result in ‘more masks than jellyfish’. So come and join us! Together we fight this war by involving in our project to spread awareness about COVID-19 waste.
